Who We are

CWC members write novels, short stories, screen plays , poetry, nonfiction articles, books and more. More than half of our members  are published.

 

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and one of 22 branches in the state. The state website is  www.calwriters.org

We hope we will soon be permitted to meet again, after Covid restrictiona are lifted, at our former location:

Martin J. Smith is the author of suspense novels and nonfiction books, including Going to Trinidad, Combustion, Straw Men, and The Wild Duck Chase. His crime novels have been short-listed for three of the publishing industry's most prestigious honors, including the Edgar Award, the Anthony Award, and the Barry Award. He is an award-winning journalist and former editor-in-chief of Los Angeles Times Magazine and Orange Coast Magazine.

 

Please note that due to COVID-19 precautions,
we have suspended holding monthly in-person meetings.   

 

Members are currently meeting on Zoom.
